“I have been acquainted with Ms. Lowe for three years including
her tenure at The New Center . . . I can attest to her competence as a
psychotherapist and counselor, and in particular to her skill and compassion
with regard to vulnerable populations including . . . individuals diagnosed
with disorganized schizophrenia”
Brian
Burgess, Director of Business, New Center

“I  first met Ms. Lowe while I was still a graduate student and coordinating a
workshop that she provided on Pre-Therapy at Benedictine University.
While coordinating her workshop, I became acquainted with the value of
pre-therapy in working with clients experiencing psychosis.  The
information I learned from her workshop led me to question the traditional
approach of the use of antipsychotic for clients suffering with
schizophrenia.  Clearly, the advances in psychiatry have also contributed
in the treatment of schizophrenia.  Unfortunately . . . some clients are
treatment refractory and do not respond to medication.  In addition, some
clients respond to medication for a period of time only to later discover
that the medication stops working.  Clearly, the need exists to help
those clients for whom medication was not effective, especially considering the
harmful side effects”  Susan Pauna, MA, LCPC, psychotherapist
